Electric Cars with the longest range in 2019

One of the critical specifications of an electric car is its range – the distance it can travel on a single charge. Sufficient operating range has been a concern of all EV users as nobody wants to get stranded on a barren road with a depleted battery. There even exists the “range anxiety”, the anxiety of battery running out with no charging point in sight. Range of the electric vehicle depends upon the vehicle weight and battery capacity of the car and as the technology improves, the manufacturers brought improvement in the range of the EVs. Here's a compilation of top EVs with the longest range in 2019.

Tesla Model S:

This is the Electric vehicle with the longest-range available in the market. Tesla Model S offers an impressive range of 393 miles in its 100D sedan variant on a single charge. The 75D variant offers quick charging through Tesla’s Supercharger network and will go 0-80% in just 40 minutes.

Tesla Model X:

This expensive car offers an impressive range of up to 351 miles between charges. This falcon-wing-door, flashy model comes in 75D and P100D variants. The P100D variant provides a range of 289 miles on a single charge. Thanks to Tesla's widespread network of charging stations and the longest ranges in latest cars, now you can fearlessly embark on a road trip without worrying about charging points.

Tesla Model 3:

This is undoubtedly one of the most refined and affordable electric vehicles available in the market. Its lowest price hasn't affected the quality or performance of the EV neither its range. The long-range version of the Model 3 sedan will take you up to 325 miles on a single charge, whereas, the standard-range (mid-range) model provides a noteworthy range of up to 220 miles.

Jaguar iPace:

The Jaguar iPace is the first all-electric vehicle offered by Jaguar and it promises to deliver up to 292 miles of range. This massive range has earned iPace a name among longest-range runners of 2019.

Audi E-Tron:

Premium automaker Audi introduced its full-electric SUV that promises the range of up to 249 miles on one charge. The Audi E-Tron is a luxury; five passengers, all-wheel-drive and claims to get fully charged in just 30 minutes. This posh, powerful, gorgeous looking car obviously won’t come cheap but it’s equipped with three motors which offer impressive 320kW of power and 800Nm torque.

Hyundai Kona Electric:

This new compact SUV crossover from Hyundai promises to deliver a range of up to 259 miles on a single charge. The Hyundi Kona has a 64kWh battery powerful battery has the capacity to get ready from 0-80% within an hour if plugged in a fast charger. However, it may take up to 10 hours to get fully charged through a standard home socket. Though the range offered by this South Korean giant is competitive to those offered by Tesla, it is way more affordable than Model X or S. The ranges mentioned above are the official range fires released by the manufacturers of these vehicles; however several external factors like speed, temperature, and wind resistance also have their impact on the vehicle’s range. Therefore there are chances that the real-life range of these EVs may differ from the official figures which were determined in controlled conditions.
